After base investigation, I decide to set stairs as the structure reference of my design. According to my observation, I find out that stairs are merely formed by three different planes: the pedals, the planes that support the pedals, and finally, the plane that give previous two planes direction. Additionally, these three different kinds of planes share two same structure systems, which is line-to-line structure system and plane-to-plane structure system respectively. To begin, I attempt to combine those different kinds of planes with the structure system I mentioned previously. It took quite a while for me to figure out a stable structure, yet, I eventually discover a system that makes three planes stand straight up rely on one with two others. Also, I make groove on both side to ensure the exact point when connecting these three planes. Finally, I complete a single layer of my main structure, and I repeat the pattern to build it up. The final model turns up to become a spiral construction, and to enforce the visual effect of the spiral, I fix thin iron bar with metal hardware on the edge.
